Battery Giant PGH Supports Kids Castle Playground

Playground Check

For Immediate Release

Cranberry Twp, PA – May 29, 2013, Battery Giant of Pittsburgh is pleased to present a check for $1,000 to Bruce Mazzonni, Chairman of the Board of Supervisors for Cranberry Twp. and Treasurer of Cranberry Community Chest, the organization leading the Kids Castle Playground rebuilding effort. Over 3,000 pounds of used batteries were collected during the Grand Opening week in an effort to help our planet and environment, as well as support the local effort to improve the lives of families and children in the Cranberry Twp. area.

The proceeds helped raised funds to aid in the construction of the Kids Castle Playground, a larger, safer replacement of the over 20 year old much loved and heavily used Playtime Palace community playground. This recycling event coincides with Battery Giant’s corporate model to support the community and the environment.

Battery Giant is a one stop shop for all of the local consumer’s battery needs, carrying thousands of battery products that range from hearing aid batteries to fork lift batteries. The location is also an authorized Fisher Price Power Wheels and Razor Service Agent, certified to work on all children’s Power Wheels and Razor toys.

“As Battery Giant expands its presence throughout the country, we are delighted to have our first Pennsylvania franchise location in Metro Pittsburgh with our partner Jim Logan, who embodies our entrepreneurial spirit,” stated Greg Danziger, President of Battery Giant Franchise, LLC. “The community has thus far embraced Battery Giant as their local battery supplier and battery recycling center. We are proud to offer local Pennsylvania made Auto/Marine batteries and commercial manufactured products.”
